The 2023 financial year was a quantum leap for SolarKapital's Greek activities. With the acquisition of eight additional PV plants, the portfolio reached a new record size. At the same time, 15 of the now total of 31 PV plants were repowered.

The result was slightly dampened by the fact that in 2023, at minus 3,5 %, which was well below the long-term average. On a positive note, the consequences of natural disasters such as the unprecedented flooding in Thessaly and the fires on Rhodes, which lasted several days, had hardly any impact on the results. Thanks also to the application of effective cost management techniques, a high-quality operation and maintenance plan and a carefully designed spare parts policy, profit expectations were nevertheless met.

The annual meeting of the Greek team took place in Thessaloniki in January 2024. With the tailwind of the good result for 2023, plans for further improvements and the start of the Group's third investment round in Greece were developed during the two-day event.
